Ollie Gavin laps at Le Mans
Coming off a win in the GTE Pro class at Le Mans, Corvette Racing is riding high, beating back the Ferraris, BMWs, and Porsches to take endurance racing's top honor. This video offers us a chance to ride along with Ollie Gavin as he laps the famous Circuit de la Sarthe.
Gavin narrates the lap, explaining what he's doing with the car as he flies around the circuit, which the winning Corvette Racing car lapped in just 4:00.553--an average speed of almost 127 mph--on its best race lap. On top of finishing first in class, the Corvette Racing C6.R also came in 11th overall, beating several LMP2 cars to the flag.
