For nearly the past two decades the franchise has expanded on that theme, evolving to a level of realistic graphics and fun-focused gameplay that everyone can get on board with.
The latest chapter in the series, Shift 2 Unleashed, promises to deliver on the fun while upping the reality factor. Yes, the Need For Speed part may have been dropped from the game’s official title, but the newest addition to the series, set for release on March 29, promises to offer all the thrills and fun of the original games.
This time around the focus is on touring cars, with full in-cockpit-perspective racing and the Old vs. New Challenge where classic cars can race with their modern-day counterparts. And, unlike its Gran Turismo and Forza rivals, Shift 2 Unleashed will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
