Monaco’s Venturi Automobiles has displayed the latest version of its Venturi Fetish electric car at the Paris Auto Show. Hot on the heels of the fast-selling Tesla Roadster, Venturi is promoting the benefits of its own electric roadster. Its 31 batteries provide the electric motor with a peak power of 180 kW and constant torque of 220 Nm.

This is enough to launch the car from rest to 100 km/h in under 5.0 seconds to a top speed of 160 km/h.

The Fetish can seat only two and measures only 3.89 meters in length. This would explain its lithe weight of only 980 kg. A single charge will cover at most 250 km. However, this reduces dramatically to 160 km when driven hard. The built-in charger, which can be plugged in from home, means it takes only 3-4 hours to top up the batteries.
