A completely undisguised version of Volvo’s upcoming V70 was caught by spy photographer just outside Volvo’s factory in Sweden. The particular model caught was a white V70 T5 AWD that’s set to debut officially at the Geneva Motor Show in March next year.

From the revealing images it’s clear that the new car follows the styling direction of the larger S80 but also picks up some elements from the recently launched C30 hatch. The new model features a longer wheelbase over the current car, which means backseat passengers will receive a larger seat plus more legroom. However, the rear overhang is shortened meaning that storage space may be compromised.

Inside, the car shares much with the S80 sedan including instrument panel, door sides and the same three level specifactions. According to the source, a high-peformance V70 R powered by a 4.4L V8 is under development for launch in 2008. The car will need its AWD system that's necessary to handle an expected 370hp output. A cross-over XC70 variant is also on the cards. Follow the jump for more information plus full sized images over at Teknikens Varld.
