With an introduction of a coupe and convertible due from rival Rolls Royce, Bentley has revealed that it will unveil its own coupe at next year’s Geneva Motor Show. The announcement of the new car, which is said to be based on the Arnage platform, was made to dealers recently according to an Automotive News report.

A convertible version of the Arnage, known as the Azure, has already been developed and it would not be difficult for Bentley to build a hardtop coupe version off of the same architecture. The new car will also share the same 6.75L twin-turbo V8 that produces 460hp (335 kW) and 874 Nm of torque. Rumours of another vehicle similar to the Mercedes CLS, which would take on the upcoming Porsche Panamera and Aston Martin Rapide, were denied last year by Bentley executive, Ulrich Eichhorn. However, we wouldn't be surprised if such a vehicle was developed to compete against upcoming small cars from Rolls Royce and Maybach.
