Update: Italy’s Milan based Zagato has been confirmed as the designer for the new Spyker flagship.

Dutch carmaker Spyker is planning to produce a limited edition flagship model built around its C12 platform to meet increasing demand from its expanding customer base. According to Autoblog.nl, Spyker has enlisted one of the world’s leading design houses to create the bodywork for the new car. It’s rumored the design company could be either Pininfarina, Bertone or Giugiaro, but we’ll have to wait until the vehicle’s official unveiling at March’s Geneva Motor Show. The new model will feature the same 500hp, Audi sourced, 6.0L W12 engine found in the C12 (pictured), and will also share most of the coupe’s electronic components as well.

Spyker will also take the wraps off the production version of the upcoming D12 four-door high performance SUV that it displayed in concept form at last year’s Geneva show. Weighing in at over 1800kg, the D12 will still manage to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 5 seconds and reach a top speed of 295km/h. The company has already received 100 firm orders for the new SUV, mostly from the US which is expected to be its main market.
