Giugiaro will be showcasing its own Vadhò hydrogen concept car at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, the design house’s first attempt at an all-green vehicle. Built off a unique platform, the Vadhò is powered by the same hydrogen fueled 6.0L V12 as used by BMW’s Hydrogen 7 mated to a semi-sequential automatic transmission.

The purpose of the new concept car, as Giugiaro puts it, is to “'spur discussion” and showcase design trends for future vehicles powered by alternative fuels. Besides the clean powerplant, the Vadhò features a jet fighter-style tandem two-seater configuration, with dual controller joysticks and electronic drive by-wire technology.

The Vadhò will be joined by another Giugiaro-designed concept car developed with Daihatsu. Labeled the D-Compact X-Over, the new concept is a preview of a new production model designed as a European B-segment car.
