Lotus has announced that it will deliver its top of the line Exige S to US markets. The supercharged version of the Exige weighs just 2,077lbs (935 kg) but develops 220hp from the Toyota derived 1.8L four. This makes for a 0-60mph in just 4.1 seconds – that’s supercar territory. The 100mph mark comes in 11 seconds all the way to a top speed of 148 mph. Its lithe weight provides for not only scintillating performance, but excellent mileage as well, which is expected to be around the 25-30mpg range.
