A report out of Brazil claims the mother-in-law of Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone, 85, has been kidnapped.

Veja reports that Aparecida Schunck, 67, the mother of Ecclestone’s current wife Fabiana Flosi, 38, was kidnapped on Friday near her home in São Paulo and a ransom of 120 million Brazilian Reals (approximately $36.5 million) requested for her release.

If accurate, this will be the second time someone has tried to extract a ransom from Ecclestone.  In 2012, a man by the name of Martin Peckham made up the threat of a kidnap plot against Ecclestone’s daughter Tamara in an attempt to extort cash. However, he was eventually caught by police and jailed for five years.

And in 2010, Ecclestone was brutally mugged near his office in London with the assailant making off with the British billionaire’s Hublot watch and a few other items.

We’ll update the story as soon as more is known.
