The Florida-based owner of a new Tesla Model S P85D clearly loves his new car. He also clearly loves taking his car and pitting it up against some of the fastest machines on the street. The first video we came across saw the Tesla duking it out with a Ferrari 550 Maranello. That was an easy victory for the P85D. Next up was a Lamborghini Aventador, which saw the Tesla Motors [NSDQ:TSLA] sedan jump off the line first before seeing the Lamborghini take off into the distance.

Now, thanks to our friends at BoldRide, we can watch the Model S take on a Ferrari 458 Italia. The results are impressive.

Thanks to its all-wheel-drive dual-motor setup, the Tesla Model S P85D leaps away from the line and the Ferrari. Elon Musk's chariot seems to take a decent lead as well before the 458 comes storming back. What's most fascinating here though, is of course the Tesla itself.

We're dealing with a five-to-seven-passenger four-door that is capable of beating or hanging with supercars. That's due to its 691 horsepower and the all-wheel-drive system being employed here. It seems the Tesla team wasn't being ridiculous when it said the car would have an "Insane" driving mode.

Insane is the correct choice here... and we love it.
