Sam Nalven, a.k.a. the Drift Idiot, goes to great lengths to explore the world of drifting. Instead of the standard view of the Formula Drift environ, Nalven dives deeper in order to learn more about the cars and the people who stuff them sideways at over 100 miles per hour.

In his latest episode of The Drift Chronicles, Sam explores the darker side of drifting. This means he wants to learn about the times in a drifters life when things weren't going well.

Lining up to tell their tales are drivers Ryan Tuerck, Matt Field, Forrest Wang, Ken Gushi, and Fredric Aasbo. You can feel bad for all of the time in their times of woe, but you can feel a bit better for Aasbo at the end. The drivers told their stories during the recent Formula Drift New Jersey event, and if you were paying attention that means you know that Mr. Aasbo came out on top.

Fredric has left the darkness behind to step into the light of a top podium spot.
