Endurance racing is one of the ultimate tests that a man and a machine can go through. There are a variety of 24-hour races around the globe, and one of the more popular events is the 24 Hours of Spa in Belgium.

This racing saga unfolds at the famed Spa-Francorchamps, which also serves as home to the Formula One Belgian Grand Prix.

Many teams vie for glory at the Spa 24, and McLaren is one such team. Last year McLaren and its crew arrived with nine cars in tow. The best a McLaren did, however, was finish 14 laps behind the leading Audi. So to try and rectify that McLaren are coming to Spa with ten cars this year.

That's ten examples of the 12C GT3 race car.

It will certainly be a wonderful starting grid with the McLarens mingling with the likes of the rest of the GT3 field. Chief test-driver Chris Goodwin will be one of the men piloting these mighty McLarens, and he's joined by the folks at Von Ryan Racing that pushed the fastest McLaren the year prior. Goodwin is also excited to partner up with former F1 racer Bruno Senna.

'I'm really looking forward to racing with Bruno as well," Goodwin said in a statement. "We have worked together for many years now, but we have never actually driven together before so this will be a new experience for both of us."

Sixty cars will be on the grid when the race kicks off on Saturday July 27, 2013. With a one-in-six shot, the McLaren team should have a good chance to step up onto the podium.
