Codemasters is known as much for its more hardcore simulator-style racing games (like the brand-new F1 2012) as it is for its arcade games, but that's only because it does both genres so well. The company's next entry on the arcade side is GRID 2, shown off in these new trailers.

With stunning graphics and way over-the-top gameplay, it looks like it'll be the title you turn to for release of the tension and frustration built up with your "real" racing sims. Here, we see a look at the California Coast and Chicago Street Racing scenarios.

Fortunately, it includes a great list of cars to aid in that release, including the Pagani Huayra, McLaren MP4-12C, the Corvette, the Mustang, the Camaro, and more.

We'll have to wait until summer 2013 for the real deal, but GRID 2 will be available across all three of the key racing platforms, including PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
