We’re just days out from the debut of the 2014 Jaguar F-Type at the Paris Auto Show, and in the lead up Jaguar is getting us all riled up with some new videos of the car during its development days. Though we already know what the new F-Type will look like thanks to a leaked image, this latest video gives us a better sense of the new model’s performance capabilities.

Previous videos showed F-Type prototypes testing at Gaydon in the UK and on Germany’s notorious Nürburgring-Nordschleife. The latest sees the F-Type take to Italy’s Nardo for some high-speed testing.

The unique ring shaped track means that test drivers can not only test the car’s maximum speed, but it's also possible to stress test at the most extreme high temperatures.

As for what powerplant is making all those lovely sounds, it’s almost certain to be the range-topping supercharged V-8 option. When it finally goes on sale, just in time for summer of 2013, the F-Type will come in three different flavors.

The base model will come with a 335-horsepower version of Jaguar's new supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine, and this will be followed by a mid-spec model with a 375-horsepower version of this same engine. The range-topper, which is expected to be called the F-Type R, will get an updated version of Jaguar’s supercharged 5.0-liter V-8. Peak output should be in excess of 400 horsepower!

We don’t have long to wait now until the reveal of the new F-Type, so stay tuned.
