Ford is continuing to use social media to strengthen its connection with consumers, this time by allowing customers to choose a new name for the Mustang V-6 Performance Package.

Mustang's Facebook fans will be asked to submit names that will appeal both to racing and all-around sports-car elements, and the winner will get a two-year lease on a 2012 Mustang V-6 with the package he or she gave the new name to.

For those who don't recall, the Performance Package adds a 3:31 rear axle,  suspension and brake components based on the Mustang GT, 19-inch wheels, Pirelli performance tires, and a more aggressive appearance.

The contest started November 19 and runs through mid-December.
