2011 Suzuki Swift R Concept

2011 Suzuki Swift R Concept

The Suzuki Swift is a hot little hatch sold in most parts of the globe and in its Swift Sport guise can be a hoot to drive, easily upsetting some much more expensive models when it comes to fun factor. The U.S. is finally set to taste what the rest of the world has been enjoying for years as the latest 2011 Suzuki Swift is expected to reach our shores in the coming year.

To drum up excitement as well as promote the introduction of the new 2011 model, Suzuki will be presenting the pumped up 2011 Suzuki Swift R Concept at the 2011 Beijing Auto Show next April.

Taking its inspiration from Suzuki’s line of GSX-R ‘superbikes’ the new Swift R Concept features an aggressive bodykit wrapped around pumped fenders and extra wide tires. The car has also been lowered with a custom sports suspension setup, with the camber on the tires modified to give it that hunkered down stance.

No official specs have been released but power is expected to come from a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 180 horsepower and sending drive to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual clutch transmission.
