Nanjing Automobile Corporation, the Chinese automaker that own the rights to the MG brand, has plans to manufacture the MG TF sports car and the larger ZT to be launched in 2008. With the aid of Group Lotus, Nanjing will modernise the MG range of cars and engines.

The new cars will be available across Europe and are even to be reintroduced to the U.S. market. Lotus has always been a favorite of ours, as their chassis engineering is renowned across the auto industry, and now MG will be able to benefit from their expertise.

In related news, Lotus is considering the option of producing other manufacturers' cars and presenting them with a Lotus badge. Lotus has helped other car companies for years and the cars have always been better because of them.
