Coachbuilder and car customizer Genaddi Design Group has released details on their LSR Roadster ahead of its unveiling at the SEMA auto show. Based on the Corvette Z06, the LSR Roadster is the creation of Mark Gerisch and Eric Brockmeyer and was designed to give customers the solid performance of the Z06 but with the flair of an open top exotic roadster.

Every panel from the regular Z06 was reshaped in aluminium to give the LSR the futuristic look, but the changes are not only skin deep. Under the new sheet metal, GDG has increased the torsional rigidity by a factor of three over the stock Z06 coupe and has enhanced the 7.0L LS7 V8, which now develops 545hp thanks to remapping of the ECU and the MagnaFlow stainless steel exhaust system. Completing the package are new custom racing seats, leather and suede interior trim plus new wheels and tires. Follow the jump to Genaddi's site, which includes a video of how the LSR came to life.
