Saab has released a couple of more shots of its Aero X-inspired 9-3 facelift, a final hurrah before the model is replaced with an all new version towards the end of the decade. For the update, developers added all-new front bodywork, new door panels and rear styling features that gives the latest version a sharper overall look and a more aggressive stance.

The biggest drawcard is the menacing grille and hood themes first seen on the Aero X concept, part of the design theme to emphasize that car’s new performance and handling edge.

The new 9-3 range comprises a Sport Sedan, SportCombi and Convertible, plus all models offer Saab’s unique ‘tri-fuel’ engine options of gasoline, diesel or E85 BioPower. Models are also further differentiated with the Linear, Vector and Aero lines of trim.
