The seller, Mike Regalia, bought the car almost a decade ago and has since restored it to pristine condition. When asked how much he paid for it, Regalia told AP reporters "a new Lexus would cost more than what I paid.”
The Ferrari was originally given to McQueen as a present from his first wife Neile Adams. It was optioned with Lusso brown metallic paint and a beige leather interior that was personally picked by McQueen.
