Most readers would recognize Mopar as being the official parts supplier for Chrysler’s muscle car lineup but soon aftermarket fans will be able to associate it with Jeep’s off-road range as well. Jeep used last week’s National Automobile Dealers Association show in San Francisco to unveil a new range of Mopar accessories designed specifically for the Wrangler Unlimited four-door 4WD.

Customers who previously wanted to dress up their Jeeps have traditionally gone to aftermarket suppliers for all their parts but with Mopar customers will be able to modify their vehicles and still maintain a factory warranty. Jeep displayed a glow-in-the-dark yellow Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at the show packed with Mopar accessories including a special off-road navigation system, chrome grille, heavy-duty bumper with a winch, carbon-fiber dashboard cover and a 200-watt sound system.

"It's a huge opportunity" for Jeep dealers to enhance profits, Chrysler parts manager Stephen Shugg told reporters from Automotive News. Dealers will get a new online ordering system that will allow customers to tailor a complete package before purchasing their vehicles and have all components fully installed before taking delivery.
