Nissan’s annual Motorsports Exhibition day is on again this weekend with this year’s event taking place at the Red Brick Warehouse and Yokohama Marine Disaster Prevention Complex in Japan. The free annual event is a day when Nissan shows off all things motorsport and usually sees a number of historic race cars pulled out of the carmaker's official collection.

This year’s theme is all about the new R35 GT-R and to celebrate the race car’s comeback into the GT500 class of Japan’s SUPER GT series a full range of historic GT-Rs, in both production and racing form, will be on display.

Organizers will also run special "pitwork demos," while the race cars will be making several demo runs to entertain the crowd. This will probably be one of the few times the older R32, R33 and R34 racers go up against the new R35 GT-R, although the latest model features a 4.5L V8 and not the forced-fed sixes of the earlier models or even the latest production car.

The SUPER GT series kicks off later this quarter, so in the meantime check out the official specs for the new GT-R race car in our earlier post.
