Not to be outdone by the Holden camp’s Coupe 60 and HSV W427 concepts, Ford has released full details about its new performance FPV range at this week’s Melbourne Motor Show. Making their official debut at the show is the new performance GT and F6 sedans, packing high-output V8 and turbocharged six-cylinder engines.

The new range includes the V8 powered GT model, turbocharged F6 and a luxury GT-E newcomer and will official go on sale in June. Combining both the utes and sedans, FPV is now offering a total of eight new models. The cars also get a new FPV badge, ditching the donor car’s Falcon badge in the process.

The bold exterior styling of the new GT is highlighted by the trademark unique front grille treatment, rear wing, side striping and V8 bonnet bulge accented with a newly designed hood decal. The luxury GT-E is distinguished from its V8 siblings by its refined rear lip spoiler, chrome accenting and distinctive badging. The GT-E’s unique 19in alloy wheels are matched by a premium brake package, with six-piston Brembo brakes now featured as standard.

The Super Pursuit and Pursuit Ute variants complete the GT series range. The F6 family, meanwhile, features the F6 sedan and F6 Ute. All cars are available with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
