Kimi Räikkönen recently paid Scuderia Ferrari’s headquarters a visit recently where he was able to meet with team principal Stefano Domenicali and some of the other senior engineers. It was an opportunity to go over the current state of play on the design of Ferrari’s 2014 Formula One car, as well as a chance for Räikkönen to meet up with many old friends who, in a few weeks, will once again be his team.

Räikkönen, of course, raced for Ferrari from 2007 to 2009, winning the world championship in his first year with the team. While previously his partner was Felipe Massa, this time around he will be partnering Fernando Alonso.

In the 2013 season, Räikkönen, racing for Lotus, was on track to place third overall in the Drivers’ Championship, behind Alonso and Red Bull Racing’s Sebastian Vettel. How Räikkönen and Alonso will fare alongside each other will be revealed next year; from his time at McLaren, we know Alonso doesn’t like to play second fiddle and we’re sure the Spaniard and the Finn will be equally eager to score the title next year.
