Reporters from Autovisie managed to get the scoop while taking a tour of Renault’s plant in Slovenia, where it was also revealed that the RS model will feature its own unique engine. Officials weren’t willing to disclose what displacement or power the new motor would have, but it should develop well above the 100hp mark of the upcoming GT model (pictured). Expect the car to also feature larger wheels, a go-fast bodykit, and a sporty exhaust note.
The Twingo will officially start sales on the 15th of June in France, Italy and Slovenia and in September for the rest of Europe, but there’s no word on which other markets will receive the new hatch.
