Renault is preparing to launch a host of new models over the next couple of years, spearheaded by the release of the new Twingo and Laguna models. The French label has previously announced that it plans to introduce no less than 26 new or updated models between 2006 and 2009 including the launch of five new upscale models.

Following the release of the new Twingo and Laguna, Renault will launch a new Kangoo as well as the facelifted Grand Modus, new Koleos SUV and updated Scenic and Espace by 2009. Also squeezed in will be the launch of the Laguna coupe and estate models and the new Megane hatch in 2008.

There’s talk of even more models in the pipeline. Back in April, reports emerged that Renault was considering adding another SUV model positioned above the Koleos as well as a flagship sedan.
