Lots of talk about Buick's new LaCrosse and the Lincoln MKZ has included references to the Lexus ES sedan. That's because for several years now, it has been the benchmark for mid-level luxury value.

So today's leak of the updated 2010 version of the car ought to carry some weight with anyone in the market for a similar vehicle.

Updates are minor, and primarily cosmetic for 2010, with the airdam and foglights getting a new treatment, though the grille and headlights stay mostly the same. Side-mirror-mounted indicators join the party, and the taillights get minor tweaks, though again, most of the rear fascia stays the same as the 2009 model.

Inside, the ES 350 remains almost identical to the 2009 model, with the steering wheel showing a change in button type, but the layout stays the same. It's not yet known if new trim options, color combinations or electronics options might be joining the 2010 spec sheet.

As always, we'll keep you posted with the latest news and spy shots when they break. Until then, you can read up on some of the competition with our 2010 Buick LaCrosse first drive or our 2010 Lincoln MKZ FWD review.
