Last year, the industrious team at /DRIVE came out with a series titled Inside Koenigsegg, which looked at the inner workings of Sweden's first and only supercar brand and gave a little detail on both its past and future. Now the YouTube channel is out with a second season of Inside Koenigsegg, and this time the series will focus on Koenigsegg’s newest baby, the One:1 supercar.

The first episode of the new season has hit the web, and it features Koenigsegg CEO and founder Christian von Koenigsegg talking about the One:1 as his crew prepare the car for its world debut, which took place earlier this month at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.

In the episode, we learn some new details such as the fact that the One:1 name represents the ratio of the car’s curb weight in kilograms to its metric horsepower rating of 1,360 ps, not its 1,340-regular-hp rating as previously reported. This means the One:1 weighs 1,360 kilograms (2,998 pounds) instead of the previously-stated 1,340 kg figure, although von Koenigsegg states that this is just a target and that production versions (so far only a prototype has been built) may weigh even less.

We also learn that the car features a number of unique elements that needed to be 3D printed, such as its titanium exhaust system and variable geometry turbochargers. The latter, boasts von Koenigsegg, allows the One:1’s twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V-8 engine to produce over 1,000 newton-meters of torque (737 pound-feet) from under 3,000 rpm and maintain that level all the way up to 7,800 rpm.

Koenigsegg will start a rigorous testing program for the One:1, which will including runs on some of Europe’s top race tracks. No doubt it will have a date with Germany’s Nürburgring at some point. We look forward to learning more about this amazing car in the coming weeks.
