Tanner Foust can really drive. It's almost like the Formula Drift and Rallycross champion made a deal with the devil to be so good at it.

While that is (probably) not true, Foust did make a deal with Mad Media to rip around San Diego in a three-wheel Polaris Slingshot SL. But this isn't just any Slingshot. The General Motors' sourced 2.4-liter EcoTec inline 4-cylinder produces more than 400 horsepower thanks to turbocharging, and the car features an AEM ignition, QA1 coil-over shocks, 14-inch Wilwood brakes, HRE wheels on Continental tires, and Sparco sport seats.

Foust's exploits were filmed on December 21, 2015 at 4:00 am to limit the amount of traffic that would have to be diverted. Foust had a police escort and closed streets (and apparently a closed parking garage) to let him stretch the three-wheeler's legs.

Those precautions paid off because Foust manages to get some air, drift the car through several corners, and generally turn that single rear Conti into a slick, pop-off valves popping off all the while.

Check out the video above and just imagine yourself at the wheel of a 1,700-pound trike with more than 400 horses and empty streets. You wouldn't be able to handle the beast like Tanner Foust, but then you never signed a pact with the devil.
