We already knew an eighth Fast and the Furious movie was coming. Vin Diesel himself confirmed it for 2017, and Jason Statham confirmed his role in the upcoming flick. Now Diesel has confirmed there will be a total of three more movies for the franchise—a final set of flicks for pirates to download before they all hit theaters.

In a Facebook post on his fan page, Diesel said no one has been offered to helm Fast 8 yet, confirming the next installment's name. No one has seen a script, Diesel adds.

He closed by saying he promised Universal Studios one last trilogy to end the saga. His next post will supposedly announce the directors of Fast 8.

For those needing a refresher, bits of Fast 8 will take place in New York.

Whether the world needs three more Fast and the Furious movies is debatable, but regardless of how you feel, it's happening, and the exodus of dollars from fans' wallets will continue, it seems, through the end of the decade.

Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
