It’s been reported that BMW’s upcoming M2 sports car will feature an uprated version of the current M235i’s turbocharged 3.0-liter six and come onto the market no later than early 2016. It’s said that at one point BMW was considering a four-cylinder engine for the car.

Ferrari is working on a new ‘XX’ experimental version of its LaFerrari flagship and we’ve heard that the car might come with a V-6 engine whose design is derived from the unit powering the automaker’s Formula One car. More interesting still is that the engine may end up in the replacement for the 458 Italia.

We’re not sure why but Ford let its 2015 Mustang muscle car star in an odd dance-off video featuring a dance troupe dressed like an ‘80s aerobics class. Why? Your guess is as good as ours.

You'll find all of this and more in today's car news headlines from around the High Gear Media network, right here at Motor Authority.
