Remember flip books? If you're over 30 years of age, you probably played with them as a kid. You know, before we all had GameBoys in our pockets. A bunch of images are drawn on successive pages, and when you flip through them, an animated scene comes to life. Now imagine doing that with a McLaren MP4-12C and a race track.

That's what McLaren and Forza Motorsport are doing, and this is the preview of what is to come. Called #ForzaFilmspeed, the project involves a race track, a bunch of still images of the McLaren P1 hypercar, and a video camera--and some smoky drifting, of course.

This isn't the first time the British supercar maker and the Forza video game have joined forces; not long ago, one lucky fan got a ride-along in a McLaren P1 as part of a contest.

What will come of the project? Will the end result be as cool as the components that have gone into making it? We'll find out "soon."
