Second Teaser Video For Aston Martin’s Latest Model Released

Follow Nelson

Teaser videos and images have become somewhat overused, dragging out what should be a nice surprise unveiling into a weeks- or months-long affair that slowly saps all of the anticipation from a new car's unveiling.

This latest teaser from Aston Martin, like the previous one (reproduced below), may avoid the pitfalls, however, as it leaves just enough up in the air--but gives us enough to be curious.

The vented hood revealed in the video confirms that we’re looking at a new version of the V12 Vantage sports car.

The yellow color of the car, meanwhile, as well as the racing references in the video, suggest that we may be about to witness the launch of a new N24-style Vantage track car.

The previous version launched in 2008 was extremely popular with sports car fans and a new generation would be fitting considering the performance of the near-stock V12 Vantage that contended the recent Nürburgring 24 Hours race. The latter, which also happened to be painted yellow, finished fifth in the SP8 class after suffering some electrical problems early in the race.

A final edition might also be appropriate, as the current Vantage has been on the market since 2005, though it has received numerous updates over the past eight years. The V12 Vantage first joined the range in 2009.

What's in store for those of us that appreciate the joys of a V-12-powered British luxury sports car? Will this be the best Vantage ever? Or will it just be another appearance package?

Consider us teased.
