McLaren's MP4-12C Upgrade: The Official Details
Mercedes-Benz announced the new 2013 SLS AMG GT model, which will be available in both coupe and convertible form. The GT model features a recalibrated transmission and more dynamic suspension settings. The GT was developed using lessons learned from the racing GT3 version of the SLS AMG.
BMW is planning to sell the 7-Series flagship with a diesel engine under the hood in the U.S. next year. Using the familiar 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-6, power is likely to be rated around 265 horsepower and 425 pound-feet of torque. The new model will compete against the current Mercedes S350 BlueTEC and a diesel-powered Audi A8 that will come later this year.
A power upgrade to the McLaren MP4-12C has been revealed in a letter to customers. McLaren will be remapping the cars ECU to provide an additional 25 horsepower, bringing the total output to 616 horsepower. The new ECU software will be installed on all new McLaren MP4-12Cs going forward, and will be a free dealer-installed upgrade available to all current MP4-12C owners.
