If you were disappointed that MINI’s two recently announced special editions, the Baker Street and Bayswater models, were only offered with the Cooper hard-top bodystyle, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to hear that MINI is now offering a special edition Cooper Convertible as well.

The new MINI Highgate is the third in a trio of special editions for spring 2012, and like the other two it takes its name from one of London’s fashionable hotspots.

The four-seater offers a raft of unique exterior and interior features.

These include a special metallic ‘Iced Chocolate’ exterior paint scheme and contrasting ‘Silvertouched Truffle’ fabric roof, along with custom 17-inch light alloy wheels and body-matching side mirrors.

Inside, new ‘Dark Truffle’ leather seats feature blue piping and contrasting stitching as well as a host of other special items including stainless steel pedals, the Chrome Line Interior package, and floor mats with matching Dark Truffle edging.

The MINI Highgate will be available this spring, at an additional cost of $2,750 for the Cooper Convertible version and $2,500 for the sportier Cooper S Convertible. Both models come standard with a six-speed manual transmission, while a six-speed automatic is offered as an option.
