As if the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe weren't impressive enough in stock form, the bodywork and tuning gurus at D3 have decided to throw a wide-body conversion at the car, put huge wheels and tires on it, and boost the power to 1,001-hp.

Built not just for show, but for go, the be-winged wide-body CTS-V Coupe will compete in time attack events in 2012, its sinister matte black sure to instill justifiable fear in competitors.

The photos speak for themselves, so we'll let you get to them. Just note that if you thought the CTS-V Coupe had a chunky rear end before, you ain't seen nothin' yet.

    yes i thought the back end was massive and still do....hahaha
    it still resembles a Nissan Primera
