Revealed in detail yesterday ahead of its official unveiling in Frankfurt today, the 2013 Lexus GS 450h shows its hybrid mettle in a metallic silver paint job. Will it have the right stuff to take on the Infiniti M35h? It certainly looks the part.

The 3.5-liter V-6's high compression ratio and Atkinson-cycle valve timing contribute to fuel efficiency while still loosing 338 ponies from beneath the hood, in concert with the hybrid electric motor.

That's enough grunt to get to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds, though most onlookers will probably still be mesmerized onto the car's angular, dramatic front end. Whatever else it is, the 2013 GS 450h is one of the best-looking Lexuses in years.
