It may have been destroyed in the previous Batman movie, The Dark Knight, but the modern-day Batmobile, the Tumbler, is back and has now been spotted on the set of the third installment of the new Batman series, The Dark Knight Rises.
The Tumbler was spotted on the back of a truck in Pittsburgh, PA where the new movie is being filmed. Its sighting is an important one as there were rumors that the Tumbler was set to be replaced by an all-new Batmobile in this third installment, however, we’re glad that director Chris Nolan has decided to bring it back one last time.
Yes, this will be the last of Nolan’s dark take on the Batman franchise. You’ll be able to catch it in cinemas of July next year. In the meantime, follow the jump below to see the images.
Note, we will still be seeing one very new car on the set of the latest Batman movie. No, we’re not talking about the oddly-styled Gordon Murray-designed one. We’re talking about the new Lamborghini Aventador supercar, which will replace the Murcielago in the previous films as Batman’s daily driver.
