Akira Iida drifting the 2012 Lexus LFA

With a screaming 4.8-liter V-10 engine channeling 552 horsepower through its rear wheels, few other production cars are more suitable for drifting than the 2012 Lexus LFA. Take an expect driver like Akira Iida, a man that’s competed in Japan’s Super GT touring car series as well as the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the VLN, and pop him behind the wheel of the LFA and you’ve got a recipe for fun.

Here we see him taking the LFA for a spin on a race track during an exhibition event in Japan. Plenty of noise and smoking tires ensue as Iida drifts the powerful supercar around the track.

However, after watching the video, we’re not sure if the drift action or the charged commentary by the Japanese commenter was more exciting. Enjoy the clip, and then click here for all the details on the 2012 Lexus LFA.
