It turns out the Delta Wing concept won't be the only experimental car to run the 2012 24 Hours of Le Mans. The hyrdrogen fuel cell electrc GreenGT LMPH2 prototype racer will also join the grid next year.

So what is the LMPH2? As the name suggests, it's a hydrogen-powered Le Mans Prototype sports racer. Likely to rate at least as strong as the previous 402 horsepower (300kW) prototype, the car won't be far behind its combustion-engined complements.

It's clear from the video below that even the previous "300KW" prototype car is capable of both serious acceleration and impressive speed around the Le Mans circuit. We're looking forward to see what kind of performance--and endurance--the LMPH2 will bring.
