2011 Volksagen-Italdesign Tex Concept Live Photos: 2011 Geneva Motor Show

Yes, it may look a bit like an Isuzu Impulse, but it's actually one of two takes on the next-generation of Volkswagen small cars: the Italdesign Giugiaro Tex Concept. We think it has a bit of Scirocco in it, too, and that's certainly not a bad thing.

It also has a bit of a plug-in hybrid drivetrain: a 1.4-liter gasoline turbo engine paired with a 114-horsepower electric motor and 237-horsepower combined output. VW and Italdesign claim the Tex is good for 62 mph in six seconds, a figure that's believable given the small size, strong power, and likely light weight.

A hybrid hatch that sounds fun to drive--but may not float everyone's visual boat. Build it, or bury it? You tell us below.
