Loyal Fiat fans in the U.S. were given the opportunity to reserve a special-edition of the upcoming 500 minicar at the annual convention of the Club Fiat-Lancia that took place last week in Asheville, North Carolina.

The special model, dubbed the Fiat Cinquecento ‘Prima Edizione’ (First Edition), will be built in a limited run of just 500 cars and each will feature a unique numbered plaque. The cars will also be available in three exclusive colors, Bianco (White), Rosso (Red) and Grigio (Gray), as well as a manual transmission.

Deliveries of the new 2011 Fiat 500 will start towards the end of the year, each with a 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine fitted with MultiAir technology.

And for those Fiat fans that weren’t able to attend the Asheville event, you will still be able to reserve your own Prima Edizione via a new website that will be made available through www.ciaofiat.com later this year.
