A prototype for BMW’s all-new M2 sports coupe has been spotted, this time wearing its production-spec bumpers and exhaust tips. For anyone that’s been thinking BMW lost its way with cars like the oddly-shaped Gran Turismos and the blasphemous front-driving 2-Series Active Tourer, we think the M2 will be the car that restores your faith in the blue and white roundel.
Another prototype spied today is for the next-generation Opel Astra. This car won’t arrive in the U.S. but its platform will appear in next-generation versions of the Chevrolet Cruze and Buick Verano.
Cadillac has given us a look at some of the advanced manufacturing techniques that have been employed for its upcoming CT6 luxury sedan. The new techniques have enabled designers to keep the weight of the car down while getting strength and rigidity to be near or at the top of the class.
You’ll find all of this and more in today’s car news right here at Motor Authority.
