Infiniti has released its all-new G35 sedan to the South Korean public at a trade exhibition in the country’s capital, Seoul. This makes South Korea the first market to receive the redesigned sedan ahead of its US launch early next year. The Korean version sports the same 315hp 3.5L V6 that’s expected for US delivered models, mated to a five-speed transmission. Preliminary testing of the G35 shows that it's hot to trot, pumping out performance figures of 0-62mph in only 5.2 seconds, and the standing quarter mile in 13.9 seconds. That's seriously quick for a six-cylinder sedan.
Two new versions include a premium and sports model, the former coming with aluminum trim while the sports is equipped with firmer suspension. The launch is the first step towards expanding further into the lucrative Asian markets. The company has its eye on the Chinese and Russian markets and this latest move shows that Infiniti is progressing more quickly towards its goal.
