Hummer is preparing an all new crew cab version of the Hummer H3 that's expected to go on sale in 2008 as the H3 SUT (sport-utility truck). Edmunds Inside Line has new footage of the vehicle undergoing testing in North America, which provides some key details about the new Hummer. Firstly, the rear wheel arches on this test mule sit further back and don’t intrude into the doors. This means that the H3 SUT will ride on an extended wheelbase from the standard H3.

The floor mounted spare tire also hints that the SUT version will feature a flip-down tailgate instead of the current side hinged version. Criticisms of low power will be answered with the addition of an option V8 powerplant, and unlike the H2 SUT that features a shorted roof, the H3 SUT will feature its own separate cargo bed without compromising interior space.
