If you're a fan of the classic muscle car, you are mostly like aligned with one of the three main spiritual camps.

You can be a Ford Motor Company [NYSE:F] guy or gal. There's the massive appeal of the General Motors Company [NYSE:GM] catalog. Finally, you can be a Mopar person.

If you find yourself in that last group, you know that you're part of a smaller clan, parts are way more expensive, and your cars carry plenty of extra weight when they cross the auction block. It's a blessing and a curse. Prepare your mouth for more such cursing when you lay your eyes on the bevy of beauties heading to Mecum's upcoming auction in Indianapolis.

There's tons of Hemi-powered machines and fistfuls of V-10-packing Dodge delights. The quartet that provides the tent-pole stakes for the whole thing, however, are the four cars you see pictured above. We have both a 1970 and a 1971 Plymouth Hemi Cuda. We also have a 1971 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Pro Stock drag racer and a 1968 Barracuda Super Stock machine. That '71 Pro Stocker? It was run by the famous Sox and Martin racing team. You can expect a dizzying amount of dollars to be thrown at all four machines, as Mopar pricing is a bit ridiculous.

The auction is on from May 17-21. If you're a Mopar fan, it's worth it to try and attend. If you're a wealthy Mopar fan, prepare your wallet for serious pain.
