The engine itself is based largely on Le Mans Prototype class designs, and built by a formula one team for Porsche in its initial form. Generating 605 horsepower, the 5.7-liter mill is capable of rocketing its Carrera GT home to 60 mph in about 3.5 seconds and 100 mph in just 6.8. Paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, it is one of the legends of recent supercars past.
