Aston Martin’s ‘N’ series of V8 Vantage models are the automaker’s motorsport-inspired versions of its luxurious sports car, the letter N signifying achievements at the Nurburgring, specifically, the famous 24 hour endurance race held at the German circuit each year. Earlier this year Aston Martin unveiled a new N420 version of its Vantage and now in the lead up to next week’s 2010 Paris Auto Show we have the first images of the new Vantage N420 Roadster.

No other details have been released but expect to see the same powertrain and chassis modifications as found in the N420 hard-top to make their way into the new N420 Roadster. This means a standard 4.7-liter V-8 with 420 horsepower and a 180 mph top speed capability. Customers will be able to select from a six-speed manual or optional Sportshift automated manual transmission.

Other features should include wider side sills, a carbon fiber splitter, custom side strakes and a new diffuser, as well as 10-spoke diamond turned alloy wheels. Aston Martin’s optional Sports Pack is likely to be fitted as well, complete with revised springs, dampers and anti-roll bars for even more responsive and dynamic handling.

Inside, expect to see an Iridium interior package, with graphite instruments, leather or Alcantara trim, special N420 sill plaques and lightweight carbon fiber seats. Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control and Park Distance Control are also standard.

Pricing for the N420 hard-top is set at $132,000, while the N420 Roadster will set you back $145,000 when it goes on sale towards the end of the year.

The Motor Authority team will be on hand in Paris to bring you all the latest details and live shots of the car. In the meantime, stay tuned to our Paris coverage page for all the latest info.
