Nio EP9, 2018 Audi Q5, 2019 BMW X7: This Week’s Top Photos

Chinese electric car startup NextEV this week launched the new brand Nio whose first model is a 1,342-horsepower supercar that’s shaping up to be one of the fastest cars ever produced. According to NextEV, the car, dubbed the EP9, clocked a blistering 7:05.12 Nürburgring lap time, which is bettered by only the Lamborghini Aventador SuperVeloce and the Porsche 918 Spyder.

Nissan unveiled a new GT-R race car for the 2017 season of Japan’s Super GT touring car series. The basic design of the car, dubbed the GT-R Nismo GT500, carries over from the previous season though there have been some key changes mainly in the area of aerodynamics.

This week we finally spotted a prototype for BMW’s X7. The full-size luxury SUV is due to enter production at BMW’s plant in South Carolina starting in 2018 and compete against the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLS and Cadillac Escalade.

McLaren’s 570S has received the special edition treatment. The special cars feature colors, trims, and finishes handpicked by McLaren’s design team and actually represent a value because of all the normally optional extras that are now included as standard.

BMW’s smallest sedan is now the 1-Series though the car is destined for the Chinese market only at present. It’s a front-wheel-drive compact, making it a rival for the likes of the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA.

This Ferrari [NYSE:RACE] Enzo is owned by fashion figure Tommy Hilfiger. It has just 3,000 miles on the clock and looks to be in pristine condition. It’s on its way to auction but don’t expect to park it in your garage unless you happen to have at least $3 million in the bank.
