A modern World Rally Championship racing vehicle is a truly amazing machine. It's capable of tremendous speed across all manner of racing surfaces, and it's also incredibly agile. Not many vehicles on the planet can pull our attention away from such a glorious beast. Well, there are a few, and one is a Dakar-prepped KamAZ racing truck.

The two squared off recently on the beautiful stages of Rally Finland. There a Volkswagen Polo R WRC driven by Jari-Matti Latvala was chased down by Ayrat Mardeev at the wheel of the massive KamAZ 4326 truck. That Volkswagen certainly has less weight to haul around, but it doesn't pack nearly 1,000 horsepower like the truck.

In the video, the Flying Finn in the Polo stays ahead of the King of Dakar, and the two look amazing out on the dirt. One pushes its way through the forest with a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, while the other makes use of a 16.5-liter V-8 diesel engine.

Both vehicles can get sideways. Both can take to the sky. Both are impressive bits of engineering and are most at home away from the tarmac. And both will get your blood pumping when you check out this video.
